GOAL-LD™ Project

Gait Outcomes Assessment List – Lower Limb Differences (GOAL-LD™) Project

Summary
The purpose of this study is to help us understand the impact of lower limb deformities, deficiencies, and/or length discrepancies on the health and function of affected children.  The Gait Outcomes Assessment List (GOAL™) is a patient reported goal based outcome measure that has been identified as a potential instrument to apply to this population.  As the GOAL™ was developed for children with ambulatory cerebral palsy (CP) it is expected that content evaluation will identify how well this tool captures the priorities of children with lower limb differences (LDs). This study takes a classic clinimetric approach to develop a distinct module of the GOAL™ (hereafter referred to as the GOAL-LD™) that is specifically pertinent to these children.

The primary objective of this study is to identify concepts/activities that are most impacted by lower limb anomalies and are considered important to these children, and incorporate these into the GOAL-LD™. Learn more about the GOAL-LD™ Project.
