timsTOF Pro
The timsTOF Pro with PASEF (parallel accumulation serial fragmentation) technology and dual-TIMS analyzer system is optimized for high-speed shotgun proteomics. It delivers fast scan speed, enhanced specificity, and high sensitivity, allowing us to dig deep into complex matrices in shorter runs.
Orbitrap Fusion Lumos with ETD and UVPD
The Orbitrap FusionTM LumosTM mass spectrometer is the instrument of choice for multiplexing with TMT due to its ability to do MS3. Equipped with an ETD fragmentation mode, it is great for analysis of PTM profiles associated with activation of signaling proteins and disease. We often couple this instrument with the Evosep One liquid chromatography system to achieve whole proteome profiling in less mass analysis time. Our two Fusion Lumos can analyze the most challenging, low-abundance, high-complexity samples as well as heavier protein fragments.
Exploris 480
The Exploris 480 is an advanced, hybrid quadrupole-Orbitrap mass spectrometer built for ultimate performance and ease of use. We use it most often for analysis of immunoprecipitation (IP) MS or BioID samples with excellent results.
TSQ Altis
The TSQ Altis joined our fleet of mass spectrometers in September 2018. This triple quadrupole MS can quantify compounds at extremely low concentrations with high speed and sensitivity.
KingFisher Flex Purification System
The KingFisher Flex offers automated purification of DNA, RNA, or protein using magnetic beads. It is able to process up to 96 samples per run, greatly decreasing the time and variability involved in preparing affinity purified samples for mass spec analysis. Speak to us to learn more about how this instrument can save you time!
Pumps and Other Equipment
SPARC BioCentre has the following instruments for liquid chromatography coupled to our mass spectrometers:
- Thermo Easy-nLC 1200 systems
- UltiMate 3000 RSLCnano
- UltiMate 3000 UHPLC system
- Evosep One systems
For offline peptide fractionation, we use the Waters 1525 Binary HPLC Pump coupled to Waters 2849 UV/Vis Detector.
