Decision makers require evidence of clinical utility to inform policy and funding decisions related to genetic testing. To address this, we have developed and validated a novel outcome measure to assess the clinical utility of genetic testing from providers’ perspectives.   

 C-GUIDE™ is designed to capture the clinical utility of a genetic test as it relates to: 

• Understanding diagnosis and prognosis
• Informing medical management 
• Awareness and actionability of reproductive and health risks for patients and family members
• Patient and family well-being 

Evidence generated from this tool will enable novel comparative effectiveness research and inform sound policy decisions.
