Purpose

Health economics is a growing field that involves complex data. There are currently few statisticians who are trained to handle this type of data. This course aims to fill this gap. Economic evaluations are collaborative enterprises; the intent of this course is to provide students with the statistical skills to enable them to be valuable statistical collaborators on economic evaluations (it is not expected that students would be able to conduct an economic evaluation on their own – this should be done in collaboration with a health economist).
