Carol Froese is a research associate who has been working in the lab since 2000.
She completed her PhD at University of Waterloo where she studied aging and senescence in plants as well as plant storage lipids.
She have been working on many areas of septin biology over her time spent in the lab including post translational modifications and signalling.
Outside the lab, she enjoys spending lots of time hiking in forests. In particularly she forages for edible wild plants and mushrooms. She is also interested in cheese making, other types of fermentation and cooking in general.
Her favourite quote is Oscar Wilde`s reputed last words, “Either that wallpaper goes or I do“.
