Wesley Lai – M.Sc. Student, 2012-2014

Wesley Lai’s interests in the Ellis lab were to utilize induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cell technology in high-throughput drug screens to identify drug compounds that have the ability to restore iPS-derived neurons from individuals with autism spectrum disorders. Following the identification of promising drugs, his objectives were to elucidate the induced signalling cascades that mediate cellular changes after drug treatment.

Lai’s motto for research: “No Guts No Glory!”
