Technology Assessment at SickKids (TASK) was created in 2007 in response to the growing interest in Health Technology Assessment (HTA) and health economic evaluation at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) from an institutional perspective, and from a researcher’s perspective.

The technical reports produced by TASK assist hospital decision-makers, provincial decision-makers and users of HTA evidence around the globe in making challenging allocation decisions with regard to investments in health care technologies focused on child health.

TASK is a member of the Health Technology Analysis Exchange of the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH) and the Toronto Health Economics and Technology Assessment (THETA) Collaborative. All technical reports are indexed in the international HTA database managed by the International Network of Agencies for Health Technology Assessment (INAHTA).
