What’s your research background?
I studied Human Biology and Cell & Systems Biology at the University of Toronto and gained intern work experience in different fields to navigate future career goals during my undergraduate years. I got inspired to become a project management practitioner as my career goal to support life science projects from start to closure and actively be involved in commercialization. And now I feel honoured to work as a Clinical Research Project Coordinator at SickKids and to witness and become part of the development of impactful biotechnologies to improve the well-being of the whole human race.
Do you have any advice for someone interested in a career in research?
Be concentrated on the topic that interests you, but at the same time, be open to different voices to connect the dots by attending more knowledge-sharing activities (ie. conferences, virtual seminars, etc.) and volunteering.
What are your interests outside of science?
I enjoy reading, exploring new fusion food and cafe, hanging out with my friends, handcrafting, and playing with Adam (my aunt’s dog). And be an occasional couch potato watching TV.
What’s your favorite food?
It might be the next dish with an extraordinary flavour I never had before and it would always be the nostalgic corn cream soup my grandma prepares for me.
Do you prefer coffee, tea, or none?
Both.
