What’s your background?
I grew up in Waterloo and studied biochemistry and neuroscience at UofT.
What research projects are you currently working on?
I am modelling replication repair deficiency (RRD) in zebrafish and using bioinformatics to study microsatellite instability in patients with RRD.
Do you have any advice for someone interested in a career in research?
Ask lots of questions about the lab you are interested in and make sure you are a good fit for the project and the lab. Make sure to keep a balance between work and your personal life!
What are your interests outside of science?
I love spending time with my friends and family, exploring Toronto, and trying new food.
What’s your favorite food?
My favourite food is ramen.
