\nThis webinar focused on the basic science of pain in the presence of a developmental disability and approaches to assessing and managing pain in children with neurodevelopmental disorders that alter cognitive and communicative capacities and challenge our ability to distinguish pain from other stress\/arousal behaviours; What to do when managing pain and irritability, particularly when all else fails, and a coordinated pain management plan that includes development of systematic pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches as well as effective communication among the individual, the family and health care professionals.<\/p>\n
