Ready to submit samples?<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

We use QReserve as our online ordering system. If you were previously a user of iLab and our facility (SPARC or AFBM), you likely already have an account with us. If you are new to our services and\/or QReserve, please see instructions below. As always, feel free to\u00a0contact us<\/a>\u00a0to discuss the design of your experiments or sample preparation aspects.<\/span><\/p>\n

Submitting Samples on QReserve:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. If you are new to QReserve, create an account on<\/span> https:\/\/my.qreserve.com\/login<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Email<\/span>\u00a0Arienne<\/a> to add you as a user of our QReserve site. Include the contact info and billing information of your PI or company in your email.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Navigate in QReserve to our site “SPARC BioCentre” and make a service request under Resources. External users should leave account info blank; internal SickKids users should list their cost centre number. For more details about how to use QReserve, see our \u201cQReserve Guide\u201d below.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. We will price the request and mark your request \u201cApproved\u201d. If you accept the pricing, go ahead and send your samples. You do not have to pay before sending the samples.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. If you are a trainee (undergraduate or graduate student or postdoctoral fellow) using our services for the first time, please have your PI email<\/span> <\/span>Arienne<\/a><\/span> giving permission to procure our services.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Your PI will be invoiced AFTER the request is complete via email, at the end of the month during which the work was completed. If this invoice should be emailed to someone else that arranges payment (e.g. Admin asst, lab manager, accounts payable dept.), please let<\/span> Arienne<\/a><\/span>\u00a0know.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    To book a Seahorse experiment<\/strong>, please contact Lilia Baev at\u00a0<\/span>lilia.baev@sickkids.ca<\/span><\/a>. <\/span>Once your date is booked, you will be given a microplate on which to seed your cells.\u00a0On the day of your experiment, bring your seeded plate to us, along with a<\/span>\u00a0plate map<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

    or dropped off during business hours (9 am – 5 pm, M-F). Please note samples can be left in our box on the metal racks in the PGCRL lobby (686 Bay St.), near the entrance. If they are on ice and\/or you prefer to hand them over to SPARC staff, please contact us beforehand to arrange for someone to meet you in the PGCRL lobby.
