Data creation and linkage
We seek opportunities to create novel data linkages that become permanent resources. These resources allow researchers to study a broad range of clinical and policy-relevant research questions.
A key example is the Initiative to Maximize Progress in Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Therapy (IMPACT) cohort. IMPACT is housed at ICES and contains detailed chart-derived diagnostic and treatment information for AYAs aged 15–21 who were diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma, sarcoma, or testicular cancer in Ontario. Some studies using IMPACT have included:
