Laura Hergott, B.Sc.
Graduate Student (PhD)

Laura Hergott graduated from Queen’s University with a B.Sc. in Biochemistry. During her undergraduate summers, she worked both in a diagnostics lab at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto and in a physical chemistry lab at the University of Wurzberg in Germany. In her final year at Queen’s under the supervision of Dr. Andrew Craig, she validated an anti-TBRII antibody as an antagonist of triple negative breast cancer progression and metastasis in a preclinical model. She recently started graduate school at the University of Toronto studying the molecular events that initiate Rett syndrome. When she’s not at the lab, Laura‚Äôs either looking for a rock to climb or exploring the city of Toronto.
