Privacy Policy<\/h3>\n

This privacy policy governs your use of the software application <\/span>PainCare<\/span> (the \u201cApplication\u201d) for mobile devices that was created<\/span> by the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). <\/span>PainCare<\/span> is a smartphone app designed to <\/span>assist<\/span> <\/span>you record information about your child\u2019s pain and provides you with pain management advice that is tailored to your child.<\/span> It is not intended to replace your child\u2019s current care, but to supplement it with <\/span>additional<\/span> support.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

What information does the app collect and how is it used?<\/h3>\n

The Application obtains the information you provide when you download and register the Application.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When you register with us and use the Application, you generally provide information about your condition, which may include self-reported symptom information and goals. You also provide us with information if you contact us for technical help with the Application. The <\/span>research team may also use your contact information (phone or email) to send you <\/span>important information<\/span> about the app and required updates.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Automatically Collected Information<\/h3>\n

In addition, the Application may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device\u2019s unique device ID, the IP address of you mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile internet browsers you use, and information about the way you use the Application.<\/p>\n

Does the application collect precise real time location information of the device?<\/h3>\n

This application does not collect precise information about the location of your mobile device.<\/p>\n

Do third parties see and\/or have access to information obtained by the application?<\/h3>\n

We share some aggregated, anonymized data with external services to help us understand how individuals use the application so that we can make changes like fixing bugs and adding and removing features of the application. We will only share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.<\/p>\n
