These techniques provide information that go beyond a normal clinical MRI, taking what was a static picture of the brain and providing an array of data that tell the story of the extent, timing and location of an ischemic brain injury, as well as how the parts of the brain connect to one another following a stroke.

The combination of the clinical and advanced imaging data will enhance our understanding of the causes of paediatric stroke with the goal of promoting rapid diagnosis and treatment in order to minimize lifelong deficits.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator color=”custom” accent_color=”#f2d653″][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1622232934291{padding-top: 20px !important;padding-right: 20px !important;padding-bottom: 20px !important;padding-left: 20px !important;background-color: #f2d653 !important;}”]

Interested in getting involved with SILC?

Contact SILC to learn more about our ongoing research studies![/vc_column_text][vc_separator color=”custom” accent_color=”#f2d653″][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator color=”custom” accent_color=”#f2d653″][vc_column_text]

Sponsors

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”1594″ img_size=”large” css=”.vc_custom_1645040087080{padding-top: 50px !important;}”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”1596″ img_size=”large” css=”.vc_custom_1645040075986{padding-top: 50px !important;}”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”1845″ img_size=”medium” css=”.vc_custom_1645040151808{padding-left: 40px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”1844″ img_size=”large”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”2728″ img_size=”full” css=”.vc_custom_1645040364207{padding-top: 30px !important;padding-left: 70px !important;}”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] Stroke Imaging Laboratory for Children [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Created in April 2014, the Stroke Imaging Laboratory for Children (SILC) serves as the global centre for imaging research by outlining the causes, diagnosis and treatment of paediatric stroke.
