The techniques\u00a0include: isothermal titration calorimetry, high-throughput protein stability assessment, bio-layer interferometry, circular dichroism spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, high-throughput plate reading.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the Howell Lab has pioneered the development of the\u00a0Structural and Biophysical Core Facility.<\/p>\n<h2>Structural and Biophysical Core Facility<\/h2>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/lab.research.sickkids.ca\/sbc-facility\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Structural and Biophysical Core (SBC) Facility<\/a> here at SickKids provides tools and services specializing in biophysical methods for investigating biomolecular structure, dynamics, stability, and interactions. Such tools include X-ray crystallography, starting from crystal growth through to in-house data-collection.<\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<p>Our lab also has access to a wide range of facilities and equipment support through\u00a0the SickKids Research Institute, including many on-site\u00a0services.<\/p>\n<h2>High-Resolution High-throughput CryoEM<\/h2>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/lab.research.sickkids.ca\/nbif\/hrht\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HRHT Cryo-EM sub-core facility<\/a> provides access to state-of-the-art CryoEM equipment.<\/p>\n<h2>SPARC BioCentre<\/h2>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/lab.research.sickkids.ca\/sparc-molecular-analysis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SickKids Proteomics, Analytics, Robotics &amp; Chemical Biology Centre (SPARC Biocentre)<\/a> provides many services, including high-throughput drug discovery.<\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2>The Structural &amp; Biophysical Core<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lab.research.sickkids.ca\/sbc-facility\/\">The Structural &amp; Biophysical Core<\/a> facility is a shared instrument facility specializing in biophysical methods for investigating biomolecular structure, dynamics, stability, and interactions.<\/p>\n<h2>The Imaging Facility<\/h2>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/lab.research.sickkids.ca\/imagingfacility\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Imaging Facility <\/a>at SickKids\u00a0provides a full range of biological imaging solutions.<\/p>\n<h2>TCAG<\/h2>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tcag.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Centre for Applied Genomics (TCAG) <\/a>offers services related to DNA sequencing and synthesis.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-12","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v27.0 (Yoast SEO v27.0) -
