Ross, Research Associate, 2010-2016<\/span><br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Originally from New Brunswick, Joel obtained his B.Sc. from the University of New Brunswick and his PhD from the University of Ottawa. His doctoral research with Dr. Robin Parks explored the role of chromatin in the regulation of adenovirus vector-encoded transgenes.\u00a0His research in the Ellis lab employed induced pluripotent stem cell technology to generate novel cell-based models of autism spectrum disorders. Ross&#8217;\u00a0long-term goal was to examine the relative contribution of genetic and epigenetic factors in the development of neuropsychiatric diseases.
