\/><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Christie Burton joined the Crosbie Lab in 2012 as a postdoctoral fellow and is presently a Senior Research Associate. She received her PhD in psychology and neuroscience from the University of Toronto in 2012. Her previous research focused on characterizing and understanding neurobiology of behaviours relevant to drug addiction (e.g., impulsivity) in adolescents\u202funder the supervision of Dr. Paul Fletcher.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"ui-provider fz b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z ab ac ae af ag ah ai aj ak\" dir=\"ltr\">Currently, she is studying the etiological underpinnings (genomics, environmental, oral microbiome) of attention-deficit\/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD),\u202fobsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD)\u202fin collaboration with the Crosbie Lab and Dr. Paul Arnold at the University of Calgary. She completed her PhD in biostatistics at the University of Toronto in November 2001, and pursued her post-doctoral training under the supervision of Dr. Mary Corey at SickKids working in cystic fibrosis research. She is an adjunct professor in the biostatistics department at the University of Toronto. She has developed expertise in attention deficit hyperactivity disorders, autism spectrum disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, and learning disabilities. She has extensive experience in the analysis of large databases, questionnaire design and validation, longitudinal data analysis, survival analysis, the development of diagnostic rules and measurement norms, latent class analysis, and graphical methods.<\/span><\/span><\/span><span class=\"EOP SCXW264235233 BCX0\" data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div She has a background in microbiology and statistics, and has been working in the field of human genetics since 1998. Nicole joined SickKids in 2008, working as a statistical consultant at The Centre For Applied Genomics (TCAG). Crosbie Lab in 2021 as a Clinical Research Project Coordinator. Before joining the lab, Sabah completed her Master&#8217;s in Public Health Epidemiology from NYU, where she investigated how attachment and identity affirmation interact with minority stressors and physiological markers among young sexual minority men. Before NYU, Sabah worked as a Clinical Trials Manager, where she and her team investigated the efficacy of omega-3 formulation on cardiovascular disease risk factors. As an avid proponent for mental health and wellness, Sabah aspires to continue, and contribute to, pediatric mental health and neuroscience research in the data-olk-copy-source=\"MailCompose\">Navi Ram<\/b> is a PhD student in School and Clinical Child Psychology at OISE, University of Toronto, under the co-supervision of Dr. Crosbie and Dr. Bedard. Navi joined the lab as a Junior Research Assistant on Spit for Science 2, worked as a research assistant on the Mega Team Study, and served as a research coordinator for the VR\u2011FOCUS project. She previously held the position of CRPA with the Spit for Science 2 research study and is currently a CRPA on the POND project. Susan has a passion for exploring the use of rehabilitation methods and intervention programs for children with neurodevelopmental disorders. He graduated from McMaster University with a degree in Human Behaviour from the Department of Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behaviour. Collaborating with the DAGSY Clinic, Justin\u2019s research focuses on training AI tools to detect mental health diagnoses from electronic health records and on understanding how genetic variants influence Autism Spectrum Disorder. data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\"><strong>Sana<\/strong> joined the Crosbie Lab in the summer of 2025 through the SickKids Summer Research (SSuRe) Program. She recently graduated from the Honours Biomedical Sciences Program at York University, focusing on Cell &amp; Systems Biology. This summer, she is working on a joint project supervised by Dr. Jacob Vorstman and Dr. Jennifer Crosbie, focused on using clinical data from Epic to help develop an AI model that detects pediatric delirium. Sana is fascinated by how gene regulation and cellular signalling contribute to disease, as well as the developmental factors that influence brain function, attention, and learning. Motivated by seeing how research can directly shape clinical decisions and improve patient outcomes, she is committed to using research as a tool to drive meaningful change. Cameron has a profound interest in child health and epidemiology, with an emphasis in improving access to quality, equitable healthcare for marginalized youth and women. Through her love for working with children, she is passionate about making an impact within the paediatric healthcare system and beyond. joined the Crosbie Lab in September 2019 as a Research Student. He is currently completing his undergraduate studies at the Arts and Science program at McMaster University. His previous works investigated genetic substrates of Alzheimer\u2019s Disease and their associations with Neuropsychiatric symptoms. Andrew has a particular interest in the intersection of mathematics, ethnicity, and youth mental health. He is excited to be continuing his journey at the Crosbie Lab with a focus on validating psychometric tools for irritability and exploring the relationship between ethnicity, mental health phenotypes, data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Daniel joined the Crosbie Lab in September 2025 as a Pre-Doctoral Resident in Pediatric Psychology. He is a PhD Candidate in Clinical Psychology at Queen\u2019s University. Daniel\u2019s research program focuses on youth\u2019s development of nonverbal communication skills. He is interested in understanding how children and teenagers learn to \u201cread the room\u201d by adjusting their use of nonverbal cues (e.g., facial expressions, tone of voice) to convey their feelings and intentions to others based on the social context (e.g., who they are with, where an interaction is taking place). Daniel is excited about joining the Crosbie Lab to bridge his clinical training in neurodevelopmental disorders with clinical research in an interdisciplinary hospital the Crosbie Lab in 2025 as a postdoctoral fellow and is an evolutionary anthropologist by training. He did his undergrad at McMaster University with a major in anthropology and a minor in psychology. He completed his MSc at the University of Toronto in 2016 in evolutionary anthropology with a focus on ancient DNA, where he used mitochondrial DNA extracted from enigmatic Indigenous remains held in museum and university collections to help repatriate the remains. He completed his PhD in evolutionary anthropology at the University of Toronto in 2025 where he used bioinformatic approaches to examine hybridisation among primates. He found evidence of cryptic admixture in a pedigreed baboon colony and identified variants still present in human populations inherited from Neanderthals and Denisovans that were significantly associated with biological pathways related to cancer, immunity, embryogenesis, and foetal development.\u00a0 His research at SickKids is looking to expand on this latter discovery by exploring how archaic variants remaining in human populations may influence symptom severity to neuropsychiatric disorders.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-25 fusion_builder_column_1_3 1_3 fusion-one-third\" data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Dr. Yeonsong Choi joined the Crosbie Lab in 2025 as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. She completed her PhD in Biomedical Engineering at the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) in South Korea in 2024. Her doctoral research focused on multi-omics analysis of pediatric brain tumors and rare diseases, where she integrated genomic, transcriptomic, and epigenomic data to identify causal variants and molecular mechanisms underlying disease development.<\/div>\n<div>In the Crosbie Lab, she investigates the genetic basis of attention-deficit\/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) through the POND project. Her research focuses on analyzing trio-based whole-genome sequencing data to identify de novo and inherited variants as well as repeat expansions, with the goal of uncovering novel genetic mechanisms contributing to neurodevelopmental disorders.<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-27 fusion_builder_column_1_3 1_3 fusion-one-third fusion-column-first\" style=\"--awb-bg-blend:overlay;--awb-bg-size:cover;width:30.6666%; margin-right: 4%;\"><div \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Diletta Mora<\/strong> joined the Crosbie Lab in June 2022 as a PhD candidate with a background in clinical psychology. She is a fully qualified psychologist and she graduated at the University of Padova. At the moment, she is doing her PhD in the development and well-being of individuals and organizations at the University of LUMSA (Rome).
