DATA SERVER

The Acquifer HIVE is the Imaging Facility’s primary data server. It is a modular and scalable computing platform designed to store, process and analyze large datasets generated from Facility microscopes. This workflow provides three key advantages:

  1. By recording all microscopy data directly to the HIVE, there is no movement or duplication of data across computers.
  2. Data is accessible from anywhere within the Hospital via remote desktop access.
  3. The ability to leverage the HIVE’s computational resources for large-scale, complex data analysis using a variety of commercial and open-source software

Acquifer HIVE Specifications
